Friday evening we worked in the front yard. I had to re-pot some plants and Stan worked on some weeds. Then I cut back the snapdragons because they were looking pretty sad. They look much better now but we are definitely going to have to put in something else right in the front. They are too tall for that location.
Saturday we washed the cars. That's quite a feat for us. I'd say it's been nearly a year since we washed the Civic and we have not washed the van since we bought it. Car washing is where our true inner-redneck comes out. But we are surrounded on all sides by car people so we finally gave into peer pressure and decided to wash them up. Of course the 'Burb didn't get washed so it's not as serious as you might suppose. I can't imagine that this will be a habit that is formed around here.
The only big news from this part of the week was that Thursday I made my first bid on e-bay and it was successful. I am just so proud of myself. I should also point out that I've been very good at restraining myself from bidding on every single thing I want. I am holding out for books that I actually need for school at some point. This is very difficult because I have found some great bargains there.
