My Personal Blog

Today my parents brought my niece over and we all went to the Mennonite sale.  What do they do there, you ask?  Well, as I told my son, they sell Mennonites.  I hope you do not take me as literally as my son does.  They actually sell a lot of things.

We bought a cactus in a snail pot, a succullent that I have never seen before, a spice cabinet similar to one I've been searching out for about 20 yrs.  I had actually looked there last year for one but they didn't have it.  We also bought a toy truck and some books and Schubert's 8th on 78.

But our biggest thing was participating in the auction.  We missed out on two things we wanted, a small secretary desk and an old wagon.  But we did get a clock, a serving cart, and a roll-top computer desk.  I won't say how much this all cost since my son's etiquette book says that is rude behavior.

We do not have pictures of the merchandise yet but I do have a few pics of the crafts we made for my mother for Mother's Day, which I can now share since she's received her gifts.  There were two more frames but I did not take any pics because I finished those today.
