What I'm reading today: Introduction to Aristotle Time Management from the Inside Out |
|||||||||||||||||
| Today I am going to introduce a new feature to my blog. It's called...paragraphs. Although they may often be run-on, I hope you enjoy them. I took the boys to see my grandmother today. It was a nice trip. I made a pot for her and put an impatien in it. Hopefully that will do well inside. The traffic on the way there was the worst I had ever been in my whole life. It took us about an hour and a half to get there. Fortunately it was bad but not as bad on the way home. We just made it to Stanley's piano lesson. After piano, we went to Long's, Michael's, and Trader Joe's. The trip to Michael's was an exercise in frustration. I swear, even though I like the floor staff at this one better than the one in the old neighborhood, their management leaves something to be desired. You know if you are going to send out mailers with craft ideas on them, perhaps you should consider stocking the items that are on the supply list. I miss the days of Mom and Pop stores. These chains are just useless. When we got home the lady called from the piano school. She said it would be twice the cost of the piano just to replace the pads and such that need to be replaced. We could still use it but it just wouldn't sound good. Even at $150 plus $80 for tuning, that's just a waste of money in my opinion. I was hoping that it was at least salvagable. I'm going to give her the name of the other tuner I know who likes to rebuild pianos. He may be willing to buy it if he thinks it is worth something. They do have another piano for sale but...whew...$$$$. |
