Important notice.
  Procedure to explore all links, (such as dictionaries, links to exercises, etc.)
  1. Use the right button of your mouse to click on the name of the link. A new window will
      open.
  2. a. if you are still using
Internet Explorer 6 => Select "open in new window"
         ("openen in nieuw venster") and click the left button of your  mouse.The link will open in a  new
         window.
      b. if you are using
Internet Explorer 7 you can also choose to open the link in a new window, or
          you can choose to open the link in a new
tab ("openen in nieuw tabblad")
  3. Use the "maximaliseren" button at the top right to maximise the page.
  4. Explore the link (e.g. "Cambridge Dictionary") as much as you like.
  5. To return to your site (for example "sjcenglishfvp - home page", or "3rd formA" ), close the new
      window or tab with the closing button "x" at the top right. 
Dictionaries
Cambridge dictionary: English to English. Excellent.

Onelook: English to English with links to other dictionaries (excellent!)

Interglot: basic translating dictionary. Languages => Dutch, English, German, French,
               Spanish, Swedish

 
Picture Dictionary: Russian website covering 103 items. Basic English. Click on the
                            number with the left button of the mouse and you get the English word
                            for the selected item. If you click on the right button, you get the
                            Russian translation. You never know when this might prove useful for
                            you. 
English culture
English customs and traditions: your guide to finding out about English Life, Culture and  Customs,
  all in plain English. Check it out regularly.


Language Games
1.Hangman: can you beat the hangman? Guess the word before you're hanged.
                          Words for animals, food & drink, sport, etc.

2. Matching: can you find the matching words? In these games, you try to find pairs of
                         opposities, synonyms, phrasal verbs, etc.

3. The Letterbox: beat the computer in this challenging, funny, strange and addictive
                                game. Real cool!

. Popword: race to stop the falling letters from filling up the grid by "popping" words.
                       Before you play, click "help" to read the instructions. The game requires
                       the Flash 6 plug-in, which can be downloaded free on the site.
