Adventurers: Traditionally people who quest either for hire or on their own to solve problems, meet new people and generally earn the right to have wonderous stories told about them. Although, adventurers a thought to be daft to go looking for trouble and injury, they are nevertheless well respected and enjoy beneficial status.

Alignments: There are no alignments. Evil is relative and usually interpreted as an enemy who intends harm. But do note the PCs are the good guys and true evil is obvious.
Resistance
Hopeless

Blood Payment: This is a standing demand of the Water Caste. Depending on the corruption of the officials, they may choose from the lowest castes or may make surgical selections for political gain or just to create terror. Blood payments can be bought and sold as a future or a direct trade.

Castes (pronounced "cast"): This is a very stratified culture expressed through castes, but it is one in which most castes freely mingle.
