Public Duty

The aim of public duty is to help the victim.

This public duty can only be carried out by the members who had passed in the first aid examination. The duties that we involved are like blood donation, sport day, weekly assembly, Highway Duty, football matches, etc. During the duty, members who involved must wear their uniforms or half uniforms and must be discipline. All the public duties were managed by the Duty Master and the assistant.  supervisor will send the members for the duties. Usually, our committee or the senior members will be the leader for each time duty. After duty, Duty Master will recorded the duty hour. This is very important, so that the member can apply for the service awards like service stripe, service star, or special service shield .

Trip and Visits

Trip is our division annual activity. It was start from 1995, when we are visiting K.Lumpur. Last year, we had held a trip to Kuala Woh Rain Forest on September.

Through the visit, member can get more general knowledge besides first aid knowledge. Our members also can reduce the stress after exam and get away the hustle and bustle of cities' life. The clean and refreshing air, the flora and fauna added to the members' enjoyment. 

Farewell Ceremony 

This gathering is for our form five and form upper six members. This farewell gathering is our annual activity. Usually, this activity is held on October. We will celebrate formal and informal gathering. During the formal gathering, our officers and teacher in charge will present the certificate to our seniors. While during the informal ceremony, the games and entertainments will prepared by our juniors. We will also serve the food to our senior.

First Aid Training Course 

The first aid training course is our annual activities. These course usually held early of the year. Members will learn the latest knowledge and update their skill during these course. A competition will be held to test our member level.

N.C.O Training Course

These course usually held end of the year. The aim for these course is to  train the members to be a caliber leader. Members will be divided into few groups. During the course, they will prepare their food themselves. Members will learn the N.C.O knowledge in these course, like bridge form, rank marking etc.

Weekly Meeting

The weekly meeting is usually held from 8:00AM to 11:30AM on Saturday. All members must wear half uniform or school t-shirt to the school for the meeting

The aim of the weekly meeting are:
• to train and upgrade the members' performance in foot drill, home nursing and first aid.
• to make sure that the members get enough and latest first aid knowledge.
• to train the members to be a caliber leader.
• to tighten the members' friendship

During weekly meetings, practices such as foot drill, first aid lecture, practical  were carried out. Lectures will also be given by the St. John Ambulance Malaysia officers, senior members or committee so that members will be able to work efficiently and accurately.

Other than that, social activities such as games,  telematch etc. are added into weekly meeting too to make the meeting more meaningful and our members will not be boring during the meeting.

The Annual First Aid and Foot Dril Competition

These is our annual activities which was start from 2002. All the members are divided into groups which consists of 4 members. Each group has a leader and 3 other members. This competition is only participated by form1 and form2 junior members. During the training session, form 4 members who act as trainers will give lectures about first aid and provide practical training to them.

The participants will take part in foot drill, long case, short case & written test.

The First Aid Competition is usually held end of the year so that participants will have enough time to prepare themselves. The  competition will begin with the opening ceremony in the morning, Divisional Officers , headmaster, judges, advisory teachers, ex-members will be invited .

Annual Sports Day Marching 

The Shing Chung High School’s Sports Day will held end of the. All the uniform units have to participate in the Sports Day Marching. 35 members include one Commander and one Flag Leader will selected. They have to wear full uniform during the Sports Day. Training will begin 1 month before the sports day. Our division had won the champion on 1997 and won 2nd runner up in the MSSPK Marching on the same year.

Visit Old  Folks' Home & Pusat Org Istimewa

These activity is carried out by our form 4 members. Before the visit, they will do the charity by donating money, foods. During the visit, our members will prepare the foods and entertainments like dance to them.

Annual Cooking Competition

These activity is carried out by our form 3 members. All the society in our school will invite to take part into these competition. Participants will use the traditional ways to prepare the food.
