Reading Rainbows
During our reading group time, I use a behavior plan I call 'Reading Rainbows'. Each member of the group is assigned a color of the rainbow. Every he comes to group, he has a popsicle stick of that color in front of him. The goal is to keep one's popsicle sticks. One can lose popsicle sticks by displaying inappropriate behavior. At the end of group time, students with popsicle sticks receive stickers on their chart. Students save stickers to buy prizes.
Prizes include:
Candy - 5 stickers
Erasers - 5 stickers
Playdoh - 7 stickers
Glitter Pencils - 10 stickers
Games - 20 stickers
