Caps for Sale

The cover of the lapbook.  My (then) three-year old colored the monkey. The back cover.  A tree like the ones in the book cut out of white paper, with fingerprint monkey on it.  Can you tell which monkeys the three year old did, and which one the mommy did?
Lapbook opened.  On the left is a copy of the cover of the book.  This was in pre-color printer days.  Below that were some caps that I cut out with numbers on them.  They are a counting game.  In the middle is a drawing from the book that my (then) five-year old drew, on the right is a photograph of my 5-yo with a bunch of caps on her head (we acted out the book!) and below that, a recipe for "Monkey Bread." Center flap opened.  In the middle is a booklet with facts about monkeys, and some shutter-fold books with words that begin with the letter "C" and the letter "M."  Graphics for both were from www.learningpages.com.

Here you can see both books opened. Since the caps cost 50 cents, we made different ways of showing 50 cents with this layered-look book
