Life In Gray

As a child I use to play...
the things I saw they would seem gray...
sometime then I went astray...
and now upon young minds I pray...

I see life just as it is..
and not just dotted with roses
but covered over with crosses
and filled with death and burnt corpses

this is the world that I am from
where rivers flow with the blood of scum
and people wish for death to come
but I can't for they're too young...

go ahead and sing a song
and do whatever turns you on
for when I'm here then you are gone
and nothing matters very long

the time has come you cannot stay
I'm taking you from the livings day
but you can watch your children play
from where I'm taking you today

I will take what you do need
I'll take your life even if you plead
you can try but won't succeed
so lift your neck, prepare to bleed

if as a child when you would play
the things you saw they would seem gray
then I just have one thing to say
you will take my place... ... someday...
