Texas Cavalry Brigade
My site will discuss my findings of the Whitfield - Ross Texas Cavalry Brigade and address reader needs as to family.
Entry for April 20, 2007

My kin, Robert Arthur Nolan and James Tyre Nolan (Noland, Nolin, Nowlin, Nolen and several other spellings) were unknown to me in 2002. Oh, I was looking for them, but they were like spirits. One night I was looking for my grandfathers death information in Florida, and noticed the entry for Civil War Pensions.  So I   entered the name Robert Nolan, who had disappeared in Tennessee in 1880. Low and behold up comes an entry. So I look at it, and it is my GGF. The rest becomes family history. My!  have I enjoyed chasing these two guys, and still do. This link will take you to Robert and James and this is all the info I have. The history of Company I, 6th Texas Cavalry is worth a book itself. I have been hoping someone would take on that chore. Just  puting this website together has me bogged down, or is that bloged down.

More soon.
