The night of March 31, 2000 was one that would change the lives of many. For one, it was Rodzilla's birthday. However, in Rodzilla's honour, the party that accompanied said birthday will go down in the anals of partying history...
Here's a recap of the night. Many thanks to contributers Oandasan, Howell and Hale... now there's a good name for a law firm.
8:00 - Keg is tapped, Grieve's bably blue suit is hapenin', Hillary Swank is in attendance, Howell (baseball cap & sweatshirt? I guess we shouldn't have expected anything more), JohnDunn.com/mrswank.html is in his regular clothes ... 15 guys... so when are the girls coming?
9:00 - More of the boys come in their swank outfits... Is that all Rod? Sheesh, we were the best dressed ones there! We began the evening at around 5pm, in case we showed up to the party looking out of place, at least we wouldn't remember too much. But alas, Cdog in his aviator glasses, Keckmachine with the chest hair showing, the Heiszinator with the porn star look working, and myself with my Jaqueline original, we're quite content to see that Ms. Swank was indeed at the party, and also that the keg was flowing. We were a little disappointed to see...
24 guys... so when are the girls coming?
9:30 - Three swanky girls arrive... so when are the rest of the girls coming?
9:50 - Me(Rod): "I've never seen so many guys at a party." Pedestrians outside:"This must be that gay party we heard about."
Watching the Raptors game go into OT, caesars, martinis, red wines, pitchers... Tracey (a.k.a. Water Pistol Bandit) "Can we at least have one night where we don't talk about basketball?" Reply all: "Get the fuck out!"... so when do the real girls get here?
10:25 - "Martinis 3rd floor... Shaft room 2nd floor... keg upstairs..."
Howell: "How U doin?" Reply all: "Wa-zup!?!"
11:00 - Elaine's salon begins... "Line 'em up." Walk downstairs, turn on the light in the hallway, what the $#%&**@! Where did all these people come from? Swank girls all over the place. Me(Rod): "Who the hell are you?"
11:10 - Gallagher, what the f*ck are you doin'? Don't be a f*ckin' idiot! You can get in the washroom when she's done.
11:15 - Sinden puts Gallagher's face to the sidewalk. Gallagher's done for the night.
11:20 - Stev & Tam arrive... "We still think our parties are better" (In a whiny voice) Stev: "Who the hell cleaned up Devo's room?"
11:40 - Girls all over Jer's room. What's going on?
12:00 - Did I(Rod) mention Swank girls all over the place? Cleavage everywhere. Wa-zup!?
12:10 - She-Devin is hitting on JD.
12:15 - Rod to Tim: "This swank party was a good idea after all."
12:26 - Christian, while talking to a girl, and in a drunken stupour, loses precious balance and hits the floor in the middle of a conversation.
Later on... Da-Real-Deal to Rod: "Man my life sucks. Talkin' to these girls is like talkin' to walls. I'll have as much luck at Stages as I did at your place." Rod: "Wow, that sucks."
(Later on at stages... Da-Real-Deal to Tim and Mike: "Well that was a waste of my time.")
Head out to les etages... people on speakers everywhere... OK, you were either at Colour's night or that Swank party we heard about... so damn loaded none of us remembered what happened at les etages except for Howell sucking face that is (we might have photo proof this time)... Tracy almost gets kicked out of Za Master.. Belleville Bulls rule -- Let's fight...Howell: "So I have her cell number and I'm calling her the minute we get back to your place"... So who was shaggin' in the common room with the blinds up while we were all out?
Tim & Mike a.k.a. GNf'nR, get back to party central only to notice a little something going on in the living room through the window. Unsure exactly what to do, we walked in the house, and went straight to fridge, pretending not to know what was going on. Then while belting out a little "Patience", we wake up Murray who witnessed the putang...
Everyone: so what happened after midnight again?
Howell: A good summary of the night. However, you forgot one detail,
1 am - Howell walks Devo's sister home
2 am - Howell returns from the ten minute walk back to Stages. How you doin?
Hale: That's two details Howell. And Tabe says you wouldn't leave and needed to call Queen's Security, who she claimed 'seemed to recognize you'.
