Some of Sixo's biggest influences include blues legends such as Robert Johnson (pictured top right), B.B.King (pictured middle right), Eric clapton ( pictured lower right) .
Other influences include Pink Floyd, Willie Nelson, Ry Cooder, Hank Marvin, Dire Straits, Jim Steinman, Waylon Jennings and Bob Segar.
Out of all these amazing musicians Sixo has extracted segments of their qualities and inserted his own origonal and unique sound thus creating haunting floydesque instrumentals and country reminicent vocals.
Sixo's roots however lay in heavy metal and rock music and although this does not appear relevant in his music without bands such as Black Sabbath, Queen, Rainbow, Whitesnake and Metallica he would never have even picked up a guitar. |
