| WHO IS THE DEFINITIVE VERSE? The man behind The Definitive Verse is 33 year old Phill Ross also known as Sixo or Sixstring Wizzard (the spelling of Wizard is from Terry Pratchetts character Rincewind). Sixo was born in the city of Wakefield in West Yorkshire England, and started writing poetry at the tender age of 11. His first poem was a dark piece entitled The Real Future, this piece of writing was based around a small verse printed on the inner sleeve of a black sabbath album, his later poetry work was to prove to be more emotionally based . To date he has had several poems published his favourite being Journeys End, a tribute to his life on the road and the love he searched for. |
| THE MUSIC......... Sixo didn't learn to play the guitar untill he reached 22 years of age and progressed quite quickly over the next few years learning the chords required to play several songs and the scales for blues. A big fan of Pink Floyd (which shows in his music) Sixo started to write and record his own music which is blues based country/rock sometimes heading towards metal but mainly very mellow. |
