Leroy Pope Walker

Leroy Pope Walker of Alabama was the Secretary of War for the
Confederate States of America. He was the grandson of Leroy Pope. He
was born to John Williams Walker and Matilda Pope in Huntsville on
February 7, 1817. He married Eliza Dickson Pickett on July 29, 1850. He
died on August 23, 1884 and is buried in Maple Hill Cemetery in
Huntsville, Alabama
