Participation Night

Materials Needed:

Volunteer time of a Fitness Instructor for about 15-20 minutes. (You will be surprised at the offers you get from your local gym.)

Tape or CD player

Music ( Chicken Dance and Bunny Hop)15-20 minutes

Blank Sheets of paper and crayons 10-15 minutes

Activity:

Explain to the Fitness Instructor that you would like her to teach the girls how keeping your body fit is important to a healthy life. Have her show them some fun exercises that help to to do this.

Bring the Music for dancing and explain that dancing a great and fun way to exercise. They Girls loved doing the Chicken Dance and The Bunny Hop, great fun songs.

As a wind down, have the girls draw a picture of something themselves doing some kind of fun exercise.
