The 6th Sparks Christmas Time
Service Project

Here are our girls with the Boxes ready to be sent.
This year we introduced our little Sparks to a great project that helped teach them the about the generosity of giving.
We hope that this project can be a continued tradition for the 6th Richmond Sparks.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
On November 1st, we held our regular Meeting at the Richmond Guide House. Our wonderful Leader Sparkle gathered shoeboxes from various sources. Each girl was asked to bring 1-2 things to add to the shoeboxes to send to Girls their own ages that most likely won't get anything else for Christmas. We showed them a video that we obtained from the good people at "Samaritan's Purse". The video showed the girls and their parents what exactly would be happening to the packages we were about to make up. (There were a few tears in the house and you would be amazed at how well the Sparks Understood it all)
After the video the girls paired up and packed their own boxes. Each girl also drew a picture to include in the packages. I am so pleased to tell you that where we expected to fill 4 shoeboxes, we filled 15 and declared that Operation Christmas was an extreme success.
