This Guide wouldn't be anywhere near as complete, or perhaps might not even exist at all, if it weren't for the following people:
Duncan Clay, whose old walkthrough to BG1 I stumbled across about a year ago. He cleared up a lot of things for me, things that weren't in the game's manual. The table that shows which races can take which classes?
Duncan's table was the guideline for mine. The charts that show how each of the classes Level Up within the EXP cap for ToSC? All the Saving Throws were copied from Duncan's site. A couple of the bugs I listed in
Chapter 13 were first reported by Duncan. I got the Candlekeep NPC trick from his walkthrough, as well.
Everybody at GameBanshee who helped put together their Baldur's Gate pages. A lot of helpful stuff there: They were my source for the Monk table I used, specific info on the various Kits, and the ToB High-Level
Abilities. Also visit their BG2 site for a very complete Shapeshifting Table: All the various forms that a character can become (whether through a spell, an innate ability, or whatever), with that creature's strengths and
immunities.
The webmasters at PlanetBaldursGate for the best spell listing in the business. When I was unable to check the spells for myself (after my computer died), PlanetBaldursGate was the only place to go.
The folks at Ironworks in generalYou've got a question or a possible bug, just post it on the forum, and the Grizzled Old Campaigners can help you. Without them, I don't even like to think about what I wouldn't
know about this game. Also, the following folks in particular:
Ertai OHF, who was a mentor to us all on the BG1 forum
Jafin, for his knowledge of the Monk
Cerek the Barbaric, for his knowledge of the Wizard Slayer
Grindar Silvermane, for his help with some of the ToB tables
Dundee Slaytern, for his expert assistance, knowing everything I didn't, and a bitchin' screenshot
and lastly, SixOfSpades, for having the perseverance to write this Guide all over again from memory.
The Six of Spades says: indent"Fortuna statu variabilis estergo, draco dormiens nunquam tittilandus."
