Six Flags Over Georgia haunted by 22nd annual Fright Fest
Weekends in October!
September 5, 2003
Atlanta, Ga. - Halloween arrives early at Six Flags Over Georgia, where some of the scariest ghosts and ghouls come to spook guests at the park's annual Fright Fest. This Halloween extravaganza, the largest and most diverse of its kind in the Southeast, will creep into town during weekends in October.

Returning this year, daring guests are invited to play Fearanoia, one wicked mind game of survival. Six Flags Over Georgia will create the ultimate Halloween experience by turning Fright Fest into a living nightmare where park-goers can actively participate in this ultimate game of terror tag. In addition, all participants of Fearanoia will receive a coupon for $5 admission Halloween night.
Are you afraid of the dark? This Fall the Crystal Pistol Music Hall will be transformed into Six Flags Over Georgia's newest haunted attraction, The Dungeon of Darkness. This experiment in terror will capitalize on the most basic of human fears - the dark. Those who dare to visit this place will be entombed in a suffocating maze-like dungeon and must face the complete unknown in their struggle to escape. If their efforts should fail, they will be doomed to roam forever in this prison of darkness. Their only aid in this seemingly impossible quest: a single, pitiful flashlight.

Also new this year are the Divas of Darkness. This frightening female trio will be performing several live shows directly in front of the Dungeon of Darkness for park guests. They will perform three different shows throughout the day including "Little Shop of Sewers, Monster Disco," and "Witch Hunt".

Not for the faint of heart, Fearman's Manor returns this year hosted by Lord and Lady Fearman, the resident undertakers of Six Flags Over Georgia. Guests are cautioned to enter at their own risk and tour 16 frightening rooms throughout the manor. The Fearman family also tends to roam throughout the park from time to time.

Fright Fest is the final event in the new "Celebration" event series at Six Flags Over Georgia. Other events in the series include Party Gras, Atlanta Fest, Salute 2 America, and Country Star Jamboree. Each event in the series is now bigger and better than ever, with additional investment to provide guests with even better Streetmosphere, live music, park-wide games, prizes and giveaways, and much more.

Fright Fest takes place all weekends in October. Hours of operation are Fridays from 6 p.m.-11 p.m., Saturdays from 10 a.m.-10 p.m., Sundays from noon-8 p.m. Bonus days for the remainder of the season include Monday, Oct. 14th (Columbus Day) from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.; Saturday, Nov. 1st from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m.; and Sunday Nov. 2nd from 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. General admission is $39.99 for adults and $24.99 for kids 48" and shorter.
