The Upwey Wishing Well.
Just down the street we found this quaint little tea house The Upwey Wishing Well.  We had a wonderful snack, of tea and freshly made scones.  Then we went out back to a very beautiful garden.
The Garden
Please join us in a walk, through the garden, to the...
...The Upwey Wishing Well.
To make a wish, you fill a cup with water, then stand with your back to the well. Hold the cup in your right hand and make a wish while sipping the water.  When done, throw the remainder of the water, over your left shoulder, back into the well.
The water that comes from the well.
Inside the church.
We found a guest book and, as we signed it, we discovered that there had been another William Sprague decendent there just 2 days before us.
She had left her address so I wrote her a letter
and she wrote back.  Hi Julie.

St. Lawrence Church
At the end of the street is a beautiful 13th century church. It is surrounded by many old graves.
