I was born in 1975, in Kilinochchi, Northern Province,
Srilanka, South Asia., attended Kn/KanistaMV School at Kilinochchi, high school at
J/Kokuvil Hindu College, and entered
Faculty of Engineering,
University
of Peradeniya in 1996 September and graduated in the honors in
Civil
Engineering.
I began my graduate work in the field of Transportation
at
Asian Institute of Technology (AIT) and received the degree of Master
of Engineering (M.Eng) in 2004. The same year, Prof.Nakamura agreed to
be my doctoral thesis advisor and I joined the
Transportation
Family of
Yokohama National University
(YNU) and completed my PhD in three years with my research
focused on Users' Behavior on New Public Transit Implementation in
Developing Countries.
Immediately after finishing, I came
back to Sri Lank and joined
University of Moratuwa as a Senior Lecturer.
