Pioneer Days 2005 focused on New Beginnings. This year stop and visit for a while and see all the good things happening in Marquand. We have a new high school with plans in the works to restore our WPA built gymnasium. We have a community building that houses a day care, a day care and a banquet hall that is available to be rented for receptions, birthday parties and company parties. The downtown is being revitalized and the Homan Building is being restored after many years of neglect and the roof being blown off during a tornado. Last year for the first time in more years than most of care to think about, Homan Hall was the site of an all gospel festival and will be the site of the 2007 Junior/Senior Prom. A new restaurant will be opening soon |
