Balinese Hindu Philosophy:  Peace and Liberty are obtainable only when we respect and observe the three harmonious relationships known as the Tri Hita Karana Doctine: 1) The Gods blessed life and created nature 2) Nature offers subsistence, nourishment and activities for human beings 3) Human beings have an obligation to establish traditional village structure, to build temples, to hold ceremonies, to make daily offerings, and to preserve nature.

Thousands of the these beautiful rice terraces grace the country side of central and northern Bali
From the Holy Monkey Temple in Ubud
Mid14th Century
These long-tailed monkeys are called Balinese Macaques and are the most widespread throughout the country. They are pretty friendly, but can have an aggressive side when threatened. The little ones are pretty cute and they come right up to you begging for food.  The one on the left is actually yawning, but he looks like he's going to take a bite out of something bigger than a banana.
