Tunggu Tubang

Tunggu Tubang is a name of one heritage system in Semendo, one of  region in Muara Enim. Tunggu Tubang means that the oldest daughter of a family will stay in her family’s house and take care of the riches of her family, such as garden, house, and farm, if her parents have passed away. She is not only taking care of it, she also manages the riches. But she doesn’t own it, because when her sister or brother wants to ask or needs some money from her, she will give the money to her or him, as the result of her manages of the riches. If we compared it with our law now - which is hereditary law - it is so preposterous, because only one person that has a power of the riches.
