| To find hope, I need time. To have faith, I need love. Everytime I figure this out- I feel less of a soul. Maybe if I become older, I'll get what I deserve. Perhaps, if I wait too long My fears of myself will- go away.... To find peace, I need- I need the soothing rhythm Of a heart beating softly in tempo with the rain. To find sanity, I need a miracle. The light of hopes and dreams can give me eternal rest. To find the promise I left a long, long time ago, I need redemption. Listen to me! What I might say, I don't know. The words don't come easy for me. To find my hope, I need myself. Copyright 2000. All rights reserved. Poem by Dee Wilson. Not for reproduction or redistribution |
