Jacelain sur Eiron

        Jacelain's Character Summary

A young, excitable Green sister, Jacelain sur Eiron seems haughty and arrogant even for an Aes Sedai, for her family groomed her as a possible successor to First Aiman of Mayene, who was the last of his line. When Lady Lilaine of House Naison was named First of Mayene, Jacelain had her hopes dashed. Lilaina's Aes Sedai advisor, Maesling Tenly, encouraged Jacelain to travel to Tar Valon as a means of removing a political rival from the Court of her charge. Upon arriving in Tar Valon, Jacelain was capable of learning to channel, and ultimately she chose Green, upon earning the interest of Hanamin Regatsu. Since that time, she has earned the scorn of many of her sisters, who are put off by her supercilious and demanding manner. She is barely able to control her hatred for Maesling Tenly, and Simoene Alvaewin, a sister of the White, stemming from some trivial incident during their time as novices together. She is believed to control a sizable network of personal informants, and is known to be bursting with ambition. Jacelain is bonded to one warder, whom she has married.

          • Jacelain's Gaidin:
            • Gendros Kurin
The son of a powerful Illianer money-lender, Gendros Gaidin has a substantial personal fortune, often used to finance the ambitions of his wife. Gendros is a largely built, ox of a man, yet he is meek as milk around Jacelain. Gendros wears a sword, although in battle he is known to make use of a tall poleaxe. The added reach, coupled with is impressive strength, makes him a terrible opponent. In battle, he is capable of cleaving a man in two.

        Jacelain's Character Decription

Dark eyed and pale complected, Jaceline sur Eiron seems haughty and arrogant even for an Aes Sedai. She is tall and well put together, with a full bust and slender limbs, yet she carries herself with an assiduous manner, as if everything is unworthy of her presence. Her black, glossy hair is worn pent in a dainty net of golden lace, with wisps escaping before her ears. Her large black eyes are crackling with barely restrained displeasure, and her full red lips seem permanently in a sneer. She wears a riding dress of lustrous green silk, with a wide neckline exposing the tops of her shoulders, and sleeves that stop short of her elbows. The skirts are divided for riding, and cut from charcoal silk, hemmed with green satin. Riding gloves of dyed green leather conceal her hands, and a light cloak of pale green linen is thrown around her neck, clasped with a broach fashioned into the shape of fish, arced gracefully into a near circle, with a small green opal for an eye, ostensibly to protect from the dust of the road. She wears a matched set of daggers, one on each hip, fastened to a black leather belt with a small silver buckle.

        Jacelain's Associates

        • Darille Tarsi
A shrewd tactician and capable manipulator, Darille is an aged, respected Green, who once served as Keeper of the Chronicles, many years ago, although any greater aspirations were dimmed by her lacking in great strength. Esille now occupies her time teaching military history to the Tower students. She remains an advisor and mentoress to Jacelain Sedai.
        • Haesel Rhuale
A rough-mannered and somewhat generally coarse Cairheinin woman. Haesel is a sister of the Red Ajah, who despite an overlay of Aes Sedai hauteur, still displays her lowly origins as a ragman's daughter in every grimace and phrase. Still, for her all faults, she is known for her great humor, and she remains a friend of Jacelain, incongruously indeed, from their time as novices together.
        Jacelain's Students
        • Helyn dene Artemedes
The young daughter of Lord Valin Elios den Artemedes, the contentious rival and cousin of the King of Illian, with powerful supporters and a strong blood claim to the Laurel Crown, Helyn has recently enrolled in the White Tower as a novice. For patently obvious reasons, Jacelain Sedai has taken a keen interest in her progress.
        • Eswana Haredhe
A slender and merry-eyed woman of Ghealdan, Eswana is currently in her her fourth, and believed final, year of Acceptance. A bright prospect who is deemed quite capable in the One Power, she has made her interest in the Green Ajah known. Jacelain has taken her as a protégé and she often serves as her secretary and tends to her nets of informants in Jacelain's absences.
