| We are now beginning our journey into the gathering of the crops last harvest for the year. Before you know it Fall will be here and then the cold of Winter and snow will be stinging us in the face. |
| The great gathering season is upon us. Come one come all, reap in the years bountiful harvest. LAMMAS/LUGHNASADH Halfmass or Loaf-mass Lammas could fall at any time from early July or until late August. Why? Because not all crops end on the same day, and this is a celerbration of the end of the harvest. The gathering and storing of food for the Cold Winter season is a pratice from long ago. Not all was good every year some years do to any number of reasons the end harvest was not always plentiful. Drought, Believe it or not even to much rain, not enough farm hands to gather all the crops, the seeds did not take, sickness(lack of good health so crops could not be tended to, so lots of reasons why things might not go so well. Even though things might have gone sour, most were greatful for what they could collect and store. |
