Born to Kementari of the Zorri, Rumer spent her childhood absorbed in the activities of her people; hunting, horseback ridding, singing, and dancing. The latter two she excelled at, becoming the most charished dancer of the tribe. The Zorri are a nomadic people traveling through the plains which are their home. Two years ago while traveling near the Hill Lands at  northern edge of their territory, Rumer was captured by slavers and taken into the Sadur kingdom. The slavers knowing of the dancing skills of the Zorri people, sold Rumer to the Royal House as a dancing slave. She was fitted with ankle cuffs and chains to prevent her escape. Rumer was made to dance at all feasts and celebrations for the pleasure of the Nobility, who viewed her as a barbarian and sub-human. The continuous demands on her to preform left her ankles raw and bleeding with no time to properly heal. In a stroke of good fortune, the ambassator of the Hill Lands to the Sadur kingdom, attended one of the celebrations at which she was forced to dance. Regignizing her tattoo marking her as the daughter of a Zorra, he imediatly purchesed her in an effort to save her life and to restore her to her people. She spent several months recovering within his villa, before making the trip back the Plains and her people. She was left with perminate scars on her ankles from the wounds caused by the cuffs, as well as emotional damage. Her mother, wanting to help her daughter heal from her injuries, sent her to the western edge of the plains, where they meet the sea. There Rumer waited for the ship on which her father Bakamar sailed, and prepaired herself to meet him for the second time in her life. Upon meeting him it was decided that she would accompany him back to his home in the Kingdom of the Rising Winds. Here she has begun healing physically and emotionally, as well as learning about her father, and herself. She has made friends and is exploring other ways of life, while waiting for her mother to summon her home, to take her rightful place as the new Zorra.
