The Sims of the Chapter One |
|
Robin
Hood and his merry men, the Maid Marian and her brother, Jeffrey, Big
John and his crew have made themselves quite comfortable in their new home on
the Island of JyM. Under the protection of the King of the Water
Elves, they live in perfect peace and contentment away from England
and the enemies from Robin's past. |
|
|
|
I am Jaedan, Elder of the Water Elves and Esteem Counselor to the King.
Yes, I am the oldest of the elves. I was one of the first Neofae, or
‘new one’, the second Children of the Goddess JyM. I have personally
witnessed many things, both in our private world and in the world of
man. |
|
I have watch my people make mistakes, I have watched them
triumph. I have helped them leave this Plane of Life. I
have been privy to many secrets and I am the keeper of the public records. I
have been by the side of every elf king as an advisor and friend.
But, I am not the oldest on this island. That would be one of the Fae,
the first Children of JyM. |
|
I must start at the beginning, and that is to say, the beginning of
time. For, all human cultures have a version of the beginning of life
on this planet you call Earth. However, what I am about to tell you is the
One Truth. |
|
This truth has been lost to mankind. Why? Well, at some point
many centuries ago, we began to withdraw from any direct contact with
mankind. In affect, man decided that it was wiser if their children and their
children’s children only thought of the Fae and NeoFae as a myth. And
that is why no one really believes in our existence any longer. But, as
you can see, we very much are NOT a myth. |
|
In the beginning, when the Supreme
Being was creating Gaia, or Earth, his sister became very curious and asked if
he would share his creation with her. The Supreme Being loves his
sister very much and would deny her nothing. He agreed to give her
an area of Gaia that was hers to do as she wished, for Gaia was still very
young. He continued making changes to Gaia and slowly creating other life
forms to walk through her grasses, fly in her endless sky, and swim in her
clear waters. |
|
The sister, who is JyM, wasted no time creating two legged beings in her
own image. She gave them wings so that they would not be bound by
Gaia’s gravity. |
|
She gave them curiosity so that they would rely on what they learned, not on
instinct. She gave them imagination so that their learning
resulted in an ever-growing spring of new ideas. She gave them free
will so that she could take pleasure in the decisions that they made without
her continuous guidance. |
|
That isn't to say that she wasn’t always present in the
beginning. In fact, she talked to her first-born, played with them,
taught them about Gaia. Sometimes as a physical form and
sometimes as a Spirit Mother who silently watched over
her newborn children. |
|
Today, we here on the Island can still feel JyM’s presence everywhere,
although she has long since decided to talk to only a few of her chosen children. |
