How to Remember your dreams

Outlook
If you want to recall your dreams as vivid as you can, you must go to sleep with the right outlook on dreaming. If you put too much importance in the physical activities of life and se the mindscape as a quantity or trivial part of your life, you may be keeping yourself from remembering your dreams. You must consider the activity of dreaming to be a valuble occurance and you must
Truly desire to recall and understand your dreams.

Preperation
Dreams can reveal many answers to many questions we have buried deep into our minds, they reveal parts of our consciousness, mind and spirit that we never knew could exist.
They can uncover things about ourself that we never imagined possible!
Like many other new and unusual things, dreams bring personal revelations that can be difficult to accept. It is for this reason many of us subconsciously choose to forget our dreams and even erase them  completely from our memories. You must be willing and in anticipation of the truth the dreams will reveal to you.

Any Questions?
Before you drift off to dreamland, think of a question to ask yourself, a question that will be given an answer through your dreams. Consider it very carefully then write it down. You might even want to use an audio recorder, you dont have to, as long as you record your dreams.
Place your dream journal/recorder/paper 'n' pen by your bed and when you awake, record the answer the dream has given you. Often, the answer may not be a straight-forward answer, it may be in the form of a symbol. When you awake, record what you can remember and leave the decoding until you have a clearer head or if you want to sleep a little more.

Sleeping Conditions
Your phsical heath, well-being and you environment including other factors can effect what you dream. Try experimenting with the basic variables of your physical sleeping space. Try sleeping in a different environment, another room, at a friends house, outside in a tent, etc. Even try a different position on your bed. See how it will affect your dreams. I experimented with moving my bed into different positions and i seem to enjot the West. I have more dreams in one night, and i remember them more vividly. Here are some guidelines i came across in an excellent book called "Embracing the moon" by Yasmine Galenorn. 'Dont point your headboard towards the South unless you want nightmares and strife in the bedroom. Sleeping with your head in the East invites awareness and intellect; towards the West invites Psychic dreams. Sleep with your head in the North and you will draw restful slumber.'
Remember, this may not be the same for you, it could be another way or it could be the same, so just experiment yourself and see how it may effect you.
Also, try using a herbal pillow, they smell lovely and they can effect you sleep and dreams too, with different types of herbs. I have a spell/recipe for a Herbal Pillow,

See how these changes effect you dreams, you might be able to remember them more vividly!
Drugs and excessive ammount of food can often distract your mind when you sleep and keep the focus on your physical self. Often these variable can have adverse effects on your dreams, so avoid anything that will alter you negatively before you sleep. If it bothers you when you are awake, it bothers you when your sleeping!
The ammount of time you sleep can also decide what you will remember when you awake. Try experimenting with your sleeping time too, sleep for about 5 hours and awake and record you dream, then go back to sleep for an hour of two. This may be quite difficult to get used to, but when you adapt, you will find that your dreams will be more easier to remember!

Transition into Waking
It is important when you awaken from a dream, you make the return as gentle and smooth as possible. If you are used to being shocked awake by an alarm, try using you internal alarm clock a few times. When you awake, it is imperitive that you DO NOT move from the position that you awoke in. Lie still and breathe deeply, carmly, as you recall your dream. Whatever you remember, you should record in your Dream Journal.
HAVE FUN RECORDING YOUR DREAMS!!!
