| The Bible says that long hair is a woman's glory. I Corinthians 11:5-15 explains that cut hair is dishonorable, because uncut hair is given to women as a "covering". Covering means protection, and that spiritual protection comes because the woman is submitted to the authority God has placed in her life. One of the greatest principles of christianity is the concept that submission brings power, that the choice to humble oneself allows the strength of God to be shown. Jesus Christ proved this in humbling himself to live as a human and choosing to die for sins he did not commit just to bring salvation and liberation to all mankind. The key is in realizing that God is perfect and holds all power, so that when we give up our power of choice to Him, we actually gain the power of His supernatural authority. The covering of uncut hair, a woman's symbol of godly submission, is empowering! It's our glory which in turn glorifies God! |
