SISAY IS GROWING MORE CONFIDENT OF HERSELF
==========================================

_____________________Dune III Player Data Sheet: Jereth______________________
Fullname:  Jereth Crane               Faction:   Venhei
Title:     First Lord                 Position:  Swordmaster
Address:   Master
Age:       28

Background:
Hereth was born the son of Jor and Elera Crane on the planet Marcinko.
The Cranes were a Minor House under the hospice of House Ginaz. Being the
youngest of 3 sons, Jereth was ignored quite a bit and worked in one of the many
factories on-planet at the age of 15. When he reached 20, his father found it
fitting to send him to the Academy of Warfare and present him as a gift to the
House Ginaz. He regretted being a pawn for his father but was also happy to be
out of the factory.. He was a hard worker, mostly keeping to himself. He
graduated one of the tops in his class. He received two long scars on his chest
from a training accident, but was in fine health besides that. Upon graduation,
he was disappointed to find out that he wasn't going to be joining House Ginaz,
but was being sent to join House Venhei. He decided to just let it go and see
what happens next.

You paged Jereth with 'Hello, Sir :0'.

From afar, Jereth chuckles.."No sir.. I'm just a swordmaster.."

Long distance to Jereth: Sisay smiles happily. "Oh, But I have the deepest
respect for someone who graduated our School."

From afar, Jereth chuckles.."Rp?"

Long distance to Jereth: Sisay beams delightedly and says: "Why not?"

Jereth pages: Alright..um.. where would we meet? I mean, ICly I don't know you..
it would have to be a random place..

You paged Jereth with 'Where do you suggest? I'm very new to Kaitain...'.

Jereth pages: ok, well, you'll have a guard escort I'm sure.. We could either
meet at the lounge in the Imperial hotel, or possibly Revelers?

You paged Jereth with 'I don't know where the Revelers is, but the hotel is fine
with me:)'.

Jereth pages: ok

You walk through the Heavy Wooden Doors.

Courtyard -- Ginaz Embassy (Kaitain)

Iron gates open onto a broad, flat courtyard. White Marcinko Pines dot
the grassy landscape, and men and women in purple and black Ginaz livery can be
seen strolling along several long paths through it. A straight path leads up to
the entrance of the Embassy proper, ending at two broad wooden doors. The
Embassy itself practically gleams in any sunlight, the outer walls crafted of a
simple dark blue granite flecked with silver, native to Marcinko. At night,
dramatic uplighting along the walls of the Embassy accentuates its beauty, and
the paths are all well-lit with functional but attractive lampposts. The Embassy
appears to be square in design, with little embellishment save the natural
beauty of the materials from which it was constructed. The effect is austere and
elegant without being flashy. Ornithopters can be seen flitting around one
corner of the roof. The only truly ornate thing about the courtyard is the
intricately crafted fence that surrounds the whole of it.

You cannot go that way.

You request a limo over your communicator.

A Ginaz Limousine pulls up near Sisay.

Ginaz Limousine
The vehicle has been appointed with every luxury that can be installed and still
provide seating for six with room to spare. Two sets of three seats face each
other across a small, solid mahogany table. The sides of the table have recessed
handles for access to the compartments within. A circular light over the table
bathes the inside of the limousine in a soft light.
(For help see 'vhelp')

There is a sense of acceleration as the limousine picks up speed.

The limousine continues quickly to its destination.

Lights from the numerous buildings and walkways outline the roadway.

The limousine decelerates steadily and comes to a smooth stop.

City Center -- Central District (Kaitain)
A 200-meter tall statue of a lion dominates the City Center. The lion, rearing
up on its hind legs and roaring toward the north, appears to be made of polished
gold. A narrow road passes under the statue and directly through the small park
surrounding the lion's feet. Around that is a multi-lane traffic circle, with
wide tree-lined avenues leading to the four corners of the city... and the
Universe.

A tree-lined roadway opens into a similiarly lined cul-de-sac. Consuming the
whole back half is a large off-yellow brick building. In front of the building,
before the main entrance, is a pair of golden lions, resting as they watch over
all who passes. Several different flags float above the main entrance and extend
the length of the building. In the middle of the cul-de-sac is a marble archway
sitting on an island in the middle of a shallow pool of water.

Lining opposite walls of the dining room are several booths, each containing its
own table. Above each table is a dim glowglobe with a conical ray of light
downwards. Set apart from these, at the back of the room, is the long table
designated as Imperial. Open entrances let in the brighter light of the lounge

Lounge -- Imperial Hotel (Kaitain)
The lounge of the Imperial Hotel serves as a more casual alternative to the
prestigious dining room. Even though simply decorated everything is of the
highest quality. The tables are made of the finest dark hardwoods of the
Imperium. Exquisite paintings are spaced evenly along the walls. Portions of a
cloth tapestry lies behind glass frames behind the bar. The meta-glass window on
the south wall provides a view of the Circle of Stars. Servants stand ready to
answer the needs of patrons.

Sisay enters escored by two guards. She looks all over the room looking a bit
lost.

Jereth sits at a table in the quiet room, going over records, a glass of water
next to him.. He looks up when he notices the footsteps of a squad of men.. he
smiles, recognizing them as Ginaz guards, he almost completely oversees the
reason why they are here.. He stands when he notices the young lady.. He
bows.."Good day, M'Lady.. How may I be of service?

Jereth pages: And how did you know that i was a Ginaz Swordmaster?

You paged Jereth with 'A discussion with Lucia :)'.

Jereth pages: Oh..cool..

Jereth just looked at you.

Sisay says in a pleasant and slightly stressed tone: "Oh, hello. Excuse my
intrusion, kind Sir, I was actually looking for my uncle."

Jereth
A moderate sized man, Jereth stands at about 5'10" tall and weighs about
175 lbs. Short cropped blond hair tops a rather modest face, decent looking but
nothing out of the ortdinary. His blue eyes peer out over a thin nose. He seems
to be dressed for a special occasion, decked out in a suit made in the colors of
House Venhei. He wears a grey starched tunic over his taut frame, and a pair of
grey slacks, which seemd to have been picked for their ease of mobility. Over
all of this he wears a maroon jacket, light but protective. As always, on a belt
is the scabard which holds his sword.%r

Jereth raises an eyeborw.."The Marquis Ginaz? I regret, M'Lady that he hasn't
been here, at least whilst I have been.."

Sisay nods worriedly and says: "So I see. Anyway, could I join you for a cup of
tea?" she turns to her guards and says: "Guards, leave us."

Jereth nods.."Why, most certainly, but do you think it wise to dismiss your
guards so quickly? Trust is a wonderful gift, but must be earned over time.."

Sisay smiles cutely caressing the right part of her belt and says: "Oh, but I
trust my knife. It is sharpened by my uncle's training, if you catch my meaning,
Master." She approaces your table and notices the records.

Jereth bows, "Then i defer to your superior training.. Please, have a seat.."

Sisay takes a seat in front of you and says: "Haven't we met before at the Ginaz
School by any chance?"

You take a seat at the bar.

Jereth looks.."Quite possibly.. I have just graduated within the past year."

Jereth takes a seat at the bar.

Sisay nods and says: "Unfortunately I haven't had much of a social life at the
School. My uncle was very suspicious, so we trained in private during my stay
there. And now, here on Kaitain I'm pretty much overhwelmed by many guards and
many security checks. I'm just not used to it."

Jereth nods.."A pity, becuase if you ever got to see the real kaitain, it's just
as overwhelming.."

Sisay giggles and says: "Oh, I sneaked out of the embassy the other day and went
to the Foothill District where I, well, 'spied' on some Bene Gesserit acolytes
at their training." She leans against her seat and laughs merrily.

Jereth raises an eyebrow.."You're lucky you didn't get caught.. I didn't know
that the Bene Gesserit had a representation here on Katain.. then again, i
myself have been secluded to the Central District, the Palace, and of course the
Embassy district.."

Sisay smiles broadly and asks in a soft tone: "So, how has your service in the
Venhei house been so far?"

Jereth nods.."Quite well.. The Baron is quite an honorable young man, it's sad
that there's been no change in his condition.. And the Ealr vaslaj, well, i
cannot see myself following any better a man into battle.." he thinks.."That is,
besides your uncle.."

Sisay smiles happily and leaning towards you says: "Thank you for appreciating
my uncle. I see you are a honourable and straightforward man and I'm glad. I've
seen here people with many masks, as If they would be constantly plotting
something." Sisay waves to the bartender asking "Do you happen to have any
Marcinko root tea?"

Jereth raise an eyebrow.."You know, i have never even bothered to ask? That's
why i mainly drink water.. And you are right, Kaitain is more than just the seat
of the Imperium, it's the homeworld of deceit and plots and schemes.."

Sisay says in a sad voice: "Yes, as soon as I arrived I started hearing rumors
about me getting married to an Atreides. In a casual meeting with one of their
Lieutants I noticed everyone knew about this except me. Of course I noticed the
na-Duke courting me for some time, sending me gifts and such, but I never payed
any attention to that." She sighs deeply and continues: "And now I fell in the
middle of something I cannot fully comprehend."

Jereth nods solemnly.. "The schemes of Kaitain grow tendrils that wrap around
the other planets I'm afraid, and with the faufreluches, it's tough for anyone
to escape these arranged marriages.. One of the reasons why I'm glad that I'm
inly a member of a Minor House."

Sisay says: "And for this is envy you..." and laughs merily. "Do you still
practice here on Kaitain?"

Jereth nods.."Quite.. I don't have exactly the facilities that I enjoyed back
home on Marcinko, but I make do.."

From afar, Jereth is also a native of Marcinko..

Long distance to Jereth: Sisay nods solemnly and thanks you happily.

Jereth pages: Plus there's a tp I got going with Jacob, my family is going to
get killed, making me head of the House Minor, and making me a noble.. :(

Jereth says, "Have you found time to practice, M'Lady? between all of these
courtship rituals?""

Sisay gets her tea served and she takes a sip of the hot greenish liquid. She
says: "Oh yes, that is the only thing that keeps my moral up these days. I even
practiced with my cousin Phillip." She giggles merrily. "He might not be as fast
as me, but he sure has an effective way of fighting. We almost 'killed' each
other."

You paged Jereth with 'What is a "tp" ?'.

Jereth pages: Oh.. tinyplot.. Basically it's an rp session.. sorta like a story
arc..

You paged Jereth with 'Aha... but with a defined storyline, no?'.

Jereth pages: Yeah.. basically I'll be moving the House to Liathon.. The Venhei
homeworld..

You paged Jereth with 'Aha... I get it :)'.

Sisay takes another sip from her tea sighing deeply: "Oh, this tea kind of
brings back old memories..."

Jereth nods.."I have become quite homesick for Marcinko since I've been here.."

Jereth just looked at you.

Sisay smiles and says: "I once got lost in the forests and for two days I had to
live on such roots this tea is made of. Eventually a Ginaz thopter patrol found
me and delivered me back home. What my ears had to hear form my father that
day... " she shakes her head.

From afar, Jereth could tell you stories of romance and frustration all because
of the faufreluches system..

Long distance to Jereth: Sisay would gladly listen.

From afar, Jereth chuckles..

Jereth nods.."I'm sure.. The forests of Marcinko are not known for being
hospitable."

Sisay takes the up of tea on her tiny hands and asks: "Tell me one of your
adventures, Master" and you can see little sparkles in her eyes.

Jereth looks.."Adventures, M'Lady? Well, I'm not exactly sure if I've
experienced anythingof epoch standards, and the only thing that I can consider,
has been sealed with that part of my record..

Sisay goes "Oh..." wondering curiously.

Jereth says, "Well, if you pressed, I'm sure that you'd be able to get the
information.. It seems like members of the Marcinko Resistance Army snuck onto
the grounds of the Academy.. They had managed to booby-trap one of the
mechanical trainers.."

Sisay gasps and says: "No!" she looks to the ground sipping nervously from her
tea. Seems like she remembers something unpleasant. Sisay whispers: "My
brother..."

Jereth raises an eyebrow.."M'Lady? I.. forgive me.. I will not continue.. I
deeply apologize.."

Sisay looks deeply into your eyes leaning forward as she says: "No. Please do
continue. This is very important for me..."

Jereth nods.."Well, I was practicing on this trainer, it gash my chest open
twice before I was able to disable it.."

Sisay sighs deeply and says: "I'm sorry! Were the Resistance members who did
this found?"

Jereth nods.."Found and executed.."

Jereth pages: The Army will also be responsible for my family's demise

Long distance to Jereth: Sisay nods happily.

Jereth nods, looking around.."As I have said, this is all quite top secret.."

Sisay smiles bitterly and says: "Seems you have had your revenge. Soon I will
have mine aswell..." You think you can notice a deep hatred in her voice.

Jereth looks.."Is there something amiss? Something I may help you with?"

Sisay sighs and whispers: "You know my brother was killed in an attempt to
assasinate my uncle at the school. He accidentally cut himself with a poisoned
blade. But no one ever found out who commanded that assasination. It is my
belief that the Moritani are the fault, although I don't know how I could ever
prove it. Because if I did, that Moritani would die by my blade in my brothers
name." Her eyes sparkle as she speaks and you notice the deep hatred in her
voice, hatred which answered, might only bring trouble.

Jereth nods, understanding all too well the hatred that lurks in the dark recess
of your being.."yes.. The Moritani have much to answer to.. Even if the
Landsraad and the Enperor don't believe so.."

Sisay sips from her tea nervously and whispers: "The Moritani have made us kneel
in the past. But they won't do it again. There are many young Ginaz who
graduated the School with honor and pride to defend our name. You've seen my
guards? I myself fear their blades. Should I give a word they'd tear apart any
Moritani they see." she sits back and orders another tea.

Jereth looks and sighs.."Believe me, I agree whole heartedly, m'lady.. i've
still yet to hear from my family on Marcinko.. but you must remeber that this is
kaiatin.. any action of that kind would warrant swift retaliation but the rest
of the Houses of the landsraad.."

Sisay nods sadly as she says: "I am well aware of that. I trust my uncle's
judgement into this. But my brother's killer will pay, whoever that is, Moritani
or not, without any warning of any kind. The Emperor might take my head
afterwards, but I must avenge my brother." She sighs and says: "But these are
dark thoughts in my mind, not worthy of a Lady and I know that. But I cannot
change my destiny."

Jereth nods.."i understand.. Ar ethere any thoughts of a lighter nature M'lady?

Sisay closes her eyes seemingly relaxing herself. The hot cup of tea served by
the bartender seems to work. She smiles and says: "But of course, my Master.
After all, I'm not really a cold blooded assasin." She laughs merrily immagining
herself stalking in the middle of the night upon an unaware victim.

Jereth nods.."I see..

Sisay says with a smile: "I hope I didn't interrupt anything..." motioning
towards the reports on the table.

Jereth looks.."Oh no.. Just going over some security reports and the like..
nothing important.. i just felt like getting out of the embassy.."

Sisay smiles understandingly and says: "I know how it feels. I myself have to
peace at home and wander about in the city trying to get a glimpse of my uncle,
but he's very busy these days. I'm trying to find out more about my marriage
he's planning. Seems the Atrides know more about it. I've met some of their
House, but franky I don;t know what to think of them..."

Jereth says, "Well, they are an honorable people.. If maybe a bit excitable.."

Jereth pages: wait a sec.. Why would Lucia be discussing me with you? Why would
anyone be discussing me?

You paged Jereth with 'Oh, relax. She just asked If I knew you since you
graduated the School, that's all :)'.

Sisay hmms and says: "And a bit secretive too."

Jereth pages: Ah.. ok.. I wasn't worried, just a bit surprised, and interested..
:)"

Jereth nods.."Well, most houses are.."

Long distance to Jereth: Sisay beams delightedly.

Sisay hmms and says: "And a bit secretive too." She sips again from her tea cup.

Jereth nods.."Well, most houses are.."

Sisay asks: "Have you met many people here on Kaitain?"

Jereth shrugs.."A fair bit.. You tend to run into all kinds when you attend
Court.."

Sisay says: "What do you think of House Alvstad? My dear cousin seems have
fallen for one the Houses Ladies." and giggles merrily.

Jereth raises an eyebrow.."Well, they seem to be of a decent kind, but of course
they have there own problems.. the House seems to be split, giving allegiance to
the new Regent, and then there's Pers, who's been running the House until
recently..

Sisay raises her eyebrows and wonders: "Oh? I haven't noticed that change? The
Lady Caecilia spoke of Pers as if he would still rule the house, lest I didn't
understand coreectly."

Jereth says, "That's exactly what I mean.. Some are loyal to Pers, and others
are loyal to the new Regent..""

Jereth says, "So there is much turmoil in that House..""

Sisay finishes her tea and says: "I hope that shall never happen to us!"

Sisay raises from the bar and her guards appear to her side. She says: "It was a
real pleasure in meeting you, Master. You are always welcome to visit me at the
Embassy and maybe, who knows, If you can spare a minute, we could practice
together. I have still much to learn." She curtseys gracefully and heads off.

Jereth stands and bows.."It would be an honor, M'lady.."
