buyer-favorable Debit Card=Debit Card that acts almost like a Credit Card such that if you lose money thru any store clerical errors in your purchases and/or scammers using your card illegally, then the bank will return your stolen or erred amount bank to your account. You won't have to argue with the seller and be out of luck. Most debit cards are not buyer favorable, but some are. Check the debit card's policies. This, I believe, is the best form of payment online since you can purchase instantly online or by phone and fund the card with only a very small amount of money in a separate small bank account so that if you make a mistake online trusting a scammer or a bad company, the bank will return your money and you won't have to fret that the scammer has access to thousands of $$'s of your card or bank account since the scammer can only take what's in the card's account instead of having access to thousands of dollars in Credit card funds or your bank account. Also, your main Credit Card may already have instant billing for many expenses(like monthly utility or internet subscription or tuition bills) so changing your CC is more difficult than changing a very small account debit card.

That's true only if you spot the problem in time, otherwise if you're on vacation or away somewhere, you may not be able to track your account in time before a scammer has hit it in which case you may owe $$'s to the credit company. Some Credit Card companies have different policies on Western Union and will look at that as a cash advance and they will NOT return your money. Different Credit Card companies have different policies. Currently, VISA is buyer favorable.

buyer feedbackers=a term I've invented. Based on an ebay seller's feedback profile, buyer feedbackers means ebayer BUYERS who leave feedback for the ebay seller you're interested in doing business with. This type of feedbacker is more important than seller feedbackers to see how the seller treats buyers on ebay.

CC=Credit Card

DOA=Dead on Arrival = is broken and won't operate; very common in the electronics and computer/computer-related sections of ebay, basically a bad, poor or scam seller selling an item that you would assume operates (e.g. computer printer) but when you receive it, it doeesn't, (basically the seller is selling you a "lemon")

HCD=High Consumer Demand= (another term i've abbreviated since it's used so often); ebay items which are in high consumer demand, usually 3-digits or more such as cars, laptop computers, plasma TV's, Xbox consoles, Playstation consoles, cell phones, electronics, etc. These auction items are usually targeted by scammers to sell to buyers especially at ebay since they are in such high demand.

NARU=Not a Registered User=ebay's way of kicking a bad ebayer off ebay for any violation and most times, ebay won't give the reason why they kicked the user off ebay but if the user is NARU, it's usually for a serious reason or an ebay rule that a ebayer continues to violate even after warned by ebay

NPB=Non Paying Bidder=this is what a bidder is called if they don't pay the seller within the ebay time frame and in payment method that the seller has listed on their auction ad. If a buyer racks up 3 of these even if they're from the same seller, the buyer gets kicked off ebay.

OotUS Sellers=Outside of the United States Scammer Sellers

SCO=Second Chance Offer, whereby ebay allows the seller to sell the item to the next highest bidder(s) by contacting them thru email if the highest bidder does not pay for the item (e.g. buyer is an NPB).

S/H= Shipping and Handling Cost(s)= Just about everyone understands the Shipping part where they pay the price of whatever is stamped on the box by the carrier. The Handling part is where there are always disputes. Handling on ebay will include packaging supplies (bubblewrap, box, tape, labels, printer ink, etc.), ebay seller fees, other seller listing fees, seller finder fees, gas transportation costs, labor to package costs, cost to stand in line, etc.

TOS=Terms of Service=the rules the seller lists on their auction ad that ebayers are to follow and if a ebay bidder violates one of these rules, the bidder will be the one in violation per ebay policy because the bidder did not follow the rules listed

WU=Western Union=a money wire transfer service that is the hallmark method of payment liked by the scammer because it's just like sending pure cash quickly to a stranger
