ANNOUNCEMENT TO THE 4TH INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP ON DAIRY LABORATORIES

The National Center for Animal and Plant Health (CENSA) and the Panamerican Dairy Federation (FEPALE) invite you to the 4th International Workshop on Dairy Laboratories, which will be held at CENSA on September 24-26, 2003. This workshop will be part of an International Event, which comprises the field of Animal Heath and Production. It also includes other workshops about Veterinary Vaccinology, Mycotoxicology, Pharmacology and Veterinary Therapeutics, Industrial Property and Commercialization of Veterinary Products.

The history of the International Workshop of Dairy Laboratories rose in 1992, when the first one was held by CENLAC-CENSA; second the Mexican Metropolitan University; and third the Austral University from Chile. The development of intensive improvement programs; and consequently the application of modern payment systems for milk quality in many countries of the continent, the systematic apparition of new and more complex products, the increase in distortions in the international dairy market and the decisive role of the technical barriers against the commercial ones have strengthened the importance of having reliable laboratories and the development of new analysis methods.
