Chances are, you won't get to these before graduation (and the cost is rather steep), but it's always good to have an idea of what's in store in the future. The Society of Actuaries covers life, health, and pension actuaries, along with several other practices.

I shamelessly stole this explanation of the process from here. I'll add hyperlinks as the SOA rolls out more information.

1) Fundamentals of Actuarial Practice (FAP)
-Consists of 8 modules and 2 exams.
-These are currently being rolled out - Modules 1 & 2 have been released, with a planned exam date of August 22nd that will cover the first 5 modules.

2) FSA Modules + Capstone Module/Seminar/Experience
-There are several tracks to specialize in, similar to how the current Course 8 and PD requirements are organized (Individual Insurance, Finance, Investments, Enterprise Risk Management, Retirement Benefits, Group, Managed Care, etc.)
-These still haven't been developed yet, so more information should be available as the introduction date comes near (est. release - sometime in 2007).

3) Exam DP (Design & Pricing)
-Like the FSA modules, are within a certain track to specialize in. Should be in the same specialization as the FSA modules.
-Should be offered first in November 2007 at a rate of one per year

4) Exam CSP (Company/Sponsor Perspective)
-Like the FSA modules, are within a certain track to specialize in. Should be in the same specialization as the FSA modules.
-Should be offered first in May 2007 at a rate of one per year

5) FAC
-Similar to the current FAC, except now is a little longer because of additional project/presentation.
