Exam FM covers Financial Mathematics. If you're not entirely comfortable with probability and calculus, you might find it better to take FM before P.

Here's the syllabus for Exam FM.

I'm using the ASM manual, which is highly regarded, for this exam, and have Kellison's book for Math 346. Math 346 and Math 347 cover all of the concepts for the test, but it would definitely be beneficial to study on your own with a study manual. The most important thing in passing these exams is working a lot of problems.

BeAnActuary.com has a great collection of past exam problems: VERY USEFUL.

You can also choose to take a seminar or online course, but I have no experience with those.

Study Manuals:

ASM

Actex

Sam Broverman

CSM

Temple

Textbook for Math 346/347 and FM: Kellison's The Theory of Interest and Solutions Manual for The Theory of Interest.
