“How Quickly We Can Learn”
I guess you don’t feel the pain
Cos you love standing in acid rain
As I watch your melancholy show
I bunker myself in the snow far below
Where the surfaces don’t burn
And there’s no need to learn
How to cope with a broken heart
Just fall back and completely immerse yourself in art
Walking past torches as they flare
Makes you feel somewhat aware
That there’s something happening inside
How the heart that longs for another doesn’t want to hide
You look towards the sky
But the sunshine makes you cry
It helps you realize
That your body is just a guise
Exploding in celebration
For your soul’s emancipation
You join me atop the highest cliff
And see that true love really does exist
