I felt the chill rush deeper
the winter in your kiss
Like a snowstorm through saliva
I sense your specialness
You're not a raincloud
You're a pillow
Asleep in your softness
You blanket me from the cold
I tremble in your return
Not from fear
But from your icy steps
Moving closer to an embrace
Winter flows through your eyes
But the sun is out today
the ice caps over your heart are melting
Like tears that flood through your blood
it's warmer now
And I've waited for this day
My winter child's day in the sun
