“The Moon & The Poet”

The moon stares at my face and I’m melting in the glow of sadness
The rain tears of clouds cover me, blanketed and soft
I feel like I’m dying again, accepting the universality of my heart
Letting the stars shoot into my head and explode
It’s time to rain again, let the blood pour down again
I foolishly felt loved by you; you left at the first chance
King me, I’ve reached the other side
Stop pressing the mute button, the music needs to play
Don’t see me crying and turn away
Four blind mice wouldn’t make any sense
You single file yourself in line with no one you know
At the playground, I swing alone
I’ve taped my mouth shut and it’s irritating the skin
My heart and soul bleed onto the white paper
Through invisible electronic punches
My smile is mirrored and I sense the peace
Another piece of my being set free
