“Daydream”

I fly featherless
 with my heart
I collide each night
dreaming of inner simplicity
wishing wells glowing silver
I bleed in the foggy water
electrocution caused by lightning
and the metal castle around my brain
shocked into a new mode of thinking
breathing a fresher air
highlighted yellow streaks
sunrays bless my skin
as the moon kisses home again
I feel your soul touch mine, tucked in
as the razor-sharp sparkle of a dream begins
