"Simply Dreaming"

I saw you in a smoky mirror
You shattered in an attempt to bring me near
The glass slit my wrists and I fell to the floor
I quickly realized I wouldn't be alive anymore
You belted out a tune of reincarnation
We flew like dandelion dust straight into the ocean
The angels played X-ray with the bodies down below
If you don't look inside you never see that they're so hollow

I sighed for a few moments when I woke up alone
I know why you did it, why you flew away from home
My arms are developing a strength seen only in dreams
My heart's no longer torn apart, or so it seems

Trapped inside the beauty of a blue crystal
Entranced by the nonsense that's surrounding our fall
Masculine & feminine are wearing mighty thin
Solar powered bodies have only enough time to spin
There are volcanoes in the sky
Eruptions right now would make everyone die
And I could hold you as long as I please
All over our bodies, the flowers spread their seed

If I wake up now, I'll hold you in my heart
That's all one really needs to know we're a part
  of everything that roams free in Love
