"A Precious Life"
Holding a flower in my hand
So beautiful
So precious
Yet so fragile like my heart
I took my flower home
And put it in water
I watched it grow
I opened a window
Let the sun shine in
My flower grew, my flower glowed
I thought my flower had grown
To its full potential
That's when the winter finally came
And darkness dimmed my flower
And as each petal began to wilt
Died in my eyes
I heard the rain pour down
And I left my flower to rest
It wasn't until I returned one day
To see my poor pot filled with old soil
I took the pot out and
Poured its contents to the ground
I gave up hope of ever having such
A beautiful flower again
But this time I didn't even need to try
My flower took shape
More beautiful than ever before
I know it will never stop glowing
And I know this love will never die
