Sailor Saturn is a mild mannered person with a heart of gold.  She has the powers to heal people by trading her own energy and absorbing their pain, which often leads to her having frequent fainting spells.  Because of this, her classmates have branded her a wierdo and she often is alone.  Her first friend was Rini, after she healed her scraped knee.  The two are good friends.  The only downside to Hotaru os that her father, Professer Tomoe, and evil scientist, possessed her with Misstress Nine and she loses more energy that way.
