THE ANSWER IS IN THE STEPS!!

Hey! My name is Robber and I am a member of the Here and Now Group of Narcotics Anonymous that meets at 8:00 PM on Tuesday night at 1414 Myers Ave., Dunbar, WV.

I would like to extend a welcome to all to come and join us in a celebration of another day clean any time you find yourself in West Virginia around the Charleston area. The Here and Now Group is a member Group of the Metro Valley Area Service Committee of Narcotics Anonoymous.

WHY IS THIS CALLED RERUNS?????

For my recovery it is important that I remember the basics that I learned early on, even though some of them come second nature now, it is good to see them in print, hear them shared in a meeting or discuss them before or after the meeting.

One of the first things I heard was:

This is a program of complete abstinence.
and that includes alcohol and pot.
KEEP COMIN BACK!!!
it gets different.
Just for Today
You never have to use again.
90 meetings in 90 days
Meeting makers make it.
Get a Sponsor
and use him(her).
Work the Steps!!!!
or die M*****F*****.
Get a Home Group
be apart of not apart from.
Fear
F*** everything and run
Face everything and recover.
God never closes one door without opening another
Faith takes me through the hallway.
H.O.W.
Honesty, Openmindedness and Willingness.
HALTS
Hungry, Angry, Lonely, Tired and Serious.
Recovery
It's an inside job.
Recovery
is a process, not an event.
Insanity
doing the same thing over again and expecting different results.
Insanity
Knowing the results and doing it anyway.
God hears your prayers
But He watches your feet.

One more thing that I heard that was so profound,
and it seems like I only heard it the other day:

THE ONLY WAY TO KEEP FROM RETURNING TO ACTIVE ADDICTION, IS NOT TO TAKE THAT FIRST DRUG!!!!!
