An old term given during the time of the ancients when, as a wee lad, I met a youth of an even younger age.  During one of our many times in gathering a bond and a name was laid upon me.  The concept of REG was born.  To many, a name may be simple.  A label, a nickname, a fun way to get a person's attention.  I am sure this is how my story started as well.  Just two young boys being stupid together, the name the most intelligent thing we were able to come up with.  However, over time, the concept of REG grew.  It became a part of myself, a part of my personality, an essence to be frank; it became part of lore.  Looking back on myself, how have I have acted under the guise of REG, and how I have developed as a person I guess REG could stand for so many things.  I feel though that an appropriate label for R-E-G is Resiliency, Excellence, and Generosity.  In many ways of life I find myself completely resilient to troubles around me, always having the strength to rebound after a bad fall.  Excellence.  It is what I expect of myself often accepting nothing less.  However, in this kingdom excellence isn't always defined with bottom line success.  Excellence may be measured in so many ways.  From a final goal being accomplished, to an action being performed perfectly, to personal growth, to just being lazy in the most wondrous and fanciful way possible.  Excellence isn't always what we were brought up to believe but more what we our self strive to be at any single moment.  The strive should always come from what we want during that particular moment, even if all we want is to be a bum and just plop on a couch.  Generosity.  The caring of others.  Being there for others who are in need.  As ruler of this kingdom I try to help as many as possible, regardless of circumstances, and mostly regardless of consequence.  A smile on the face is reward, a hug a treasure, and someone being happy after our interaction is simply the universe.  The essence of REG has grown over the years and to me represents maturity, growth, spontaneity, being a kid at any given second, followed by changing to adulthood to help someone.  It is doing what it takes to make someone smile.  It's adaptability to a situation and the presence to cherish a moment.  It's to know no two things are alike, to know that moments never come back in the same way.  It's to know that the most important things are facial expressions and hugs.  It's to know that emotion is not just one thing but always varied even under the same label such as "happy".  It is to know so many things of which here I shall not write but rather place it in the palace library for all to see.  It is here where the final part of REG lies.  It's a mystery, a wonder, a confusing enigma with many layers and levels.  It has many levels of depth, many wonders to discover.  For this is just the surface of REG.  The scribe has more.  Looking at it now I see that I am not the only one who possesses the secrets of REG but its a gift spread throughout humanity.  Everyone has it but it is for everyone to discover in their own way.  For we each have the treasure; how we choose to spend it is the question.  The scribe shall one day tell more of the wonders of this essence we all are.  Welcome to the kingdom.
