WHAT IS ZDNET'S LOGOMANAGER/ANIMATOR?

The LogoManager/Animator is a Windows 95 utility for replacing the
standard Windows startup, shutdown, and turn-off logos
with a logo of your choice. Install one of the preformatted
images that come with LogoManager or use one of your own.
The package includes ZDNet's LogoAnimator, which allows
you to animate the palette of your favorite images for use
as the Windows 95/98 startup image.

HISTORY

Version 1.0 - Released 06/29/96

This is the initial release of ZD Net's LogoManager/Animator.

Version 1.1 - Released 09/01/98

Incorporates multiple bug fixes.

HOW DO I INSTALL ZDNET'S LOGOMANAGER/ANIMATOR?

1. Unzip the file into a temporary directory (for example, C:\Temp).

2. Run Setup and follow the prompts.

3. After installing the program, place your mouse cursor on the
desktop and press the right mouse button once. Select Properties
from the popup window. From the Display Properties window,
select the Logo tab. Please refer to the help file for more
   information.

4. Image Specifications

To add images to the library from your private collection, you
must first resize them to 320x400 pixels and save them as 256-color
RGB bitmaps. Several shareware editors will do the job. After
reformatting an image, you can use LogoAnimator to animate its
palette and use the result as a startup logo.
