CONSTITUTION AND BY-LAWS

 

 

 

We the officers and members of the TIMOG LAHI MOUNTAINEERS INC. firmly believe that the promotion of the general well-being and the betterment of its bountiful natural resources that could be advanced by and through a genuine, effective and productive Local autonomy and development of self-reliance, as we bind ourselves with the blessings and guidance of the Almighty God, do enact and promote this Constitution and by-laws.

 

 

ARTICLE I

NAME AND DOMICILE

 

Section I

 

The organization shall be known as the TIMOG LAHI MOUNTAINEERS INC. initially based in Barangay Tambo Paranaque City.

 

 

Section II

 

The organization shall be known as an organization which I concerned with the people of Paranaque and its environment.

 

 

ARTICLE II

RULES AND REGULATION

 

 

Section I

 

a.    Honor any living and non-living things.

b.    In every climb the President must task expedition, medical and spiritual leaders.

c.    Members of the organization must obey the expedition leader.

Every decision to be made must follow a process.

Every member has a right to opinion and a majority decision must respect and pursue.

 

d.    In every climb all members shall be required to plant a tree as a part of the objective.

e.    Always think of other’s safety.  Never play tricks on each other which may lead to disrespect/harm.

 

 

Section II

 

a.    Before an organizational climb, a member is required to attend orientation meetings being called by the officers.

b.    A member must have the basic climbing gears.  Bring a checklist for each climb.

c.    Every month the group is required to attend one (1) major or minor climbs.

d.    Each member shall attend a group physical training before any of the climbs.

e.    In every climb a member must pass a parental consent/waver before the member is allowed to join the climb.

f.     Campsites or tents for males and females are separated.  The member must follow sleeping hours.

g.    The organization does not accept a drug dependent person.

h.   The preparation of the organizational climb be at least one week before the climb.

i.     To become a full-pledged TIMOG LAHI MOUNTAINEERS he/she must guest in a number of organizational climbs and submit complete requirements.

 

 

Requirements for incoming members:

a.    Filled-up organizational application form with recent 2 x 2 picture.

b.    A parental consent/waver.

c.    A major and minor climbs with the group.

 

 

 

ARTICLE III

PRINCIPLES AND OBJECTIVES

 

 

Section I

 

a.    To ensure the preservation and protection of the environment.

b.    To be able to enjoy without destroying it.

 

 

Section II

 

          To initiate and support programs that are designated for awareness of the youth in the environment that will enhance their social, intellectual, moral, spiritual and physical development.

 

 

Section III

 

          To formulate, implement and coordinate in activities, projects and programs particularly those that mainly concern with the environmental development.

 

 

Section IV

 

          To undertake fund-raising projects and activities to support the Timog Lahi Mountaineers Inc.

 

 

Section V

 

          To strengthen the rapport, camaraderie and brotherhood among members. 

 

 

 

ARTICLE IV

OFFICERS

 

 

Section I – PRESIDENT

 

a.    To preside over all the meetings of the organization

b.    To report to the members of the general state of the organization.

c.    To perform all functions and duties delegated to him or her by the council.

d.    To be an organization representative.

Section II – VICE PRESIDENT

 

a.    To assume the duties of the president in his or her absence or incapacity.

b.    To perform such function or duties as may be assigned by the president of the organization.

 

 

Section III – SECRETARY

 

a.    To be responsible for the maintenance of records, reports and proceeding of all the meetings.

b.    To take charge of the corespondents of the organization including notices of meetings.  To maintain updated list of members with pertinent data.

 

 

Section IV – TREASURER

 

a.    To be the custodian of the funds of the organization.

b.    To collect, receive and disburse funds approved by the council.

c.    To render annual financial reports to the organizations.

 

Section V – PUBLIC RELATIONS OFFICER

 

a.    To take charge of informing the general public about the major stands, thrust and activities of the organization.

b.    To be the official liaison person with the mass media and other organization.

 

 

ARTICLE IV

MEMBERS

 

Section I – Qualification

 

a.    Must be a Filipino

b.    Must be a Bona fide resident of Paranaque

c.    Age of 18 yrs old and above

d.    Must have approved waiver form by parent

 

 

Section II – Duties and Responsibilities

 

a.    Obey this constitution

b.    Recruit other members

c.    Participate in the activities and projects of the organization

d.    Pay dues and other such contribution prescribed by the organization

e.    Attend organization’s educational discussion (ED’s)

f.     Attend Organization meetings

 

Section III – Rights of the Member

 

a.    Right to know the situation of the organization

b.    Right to criticize the leaders and member who are doing wrong

c.    Right to attend any meeting or debate of the organization

d.    Right to have a copy of minutes of meeting and annual reports of the organization

 

 

 

 

Section IV – Terms and Grounds 

 

a.    Any one, leaders and/or members will be punished when: dis-obedience of the constitution, non-attendance of the organization activities except excused absences

 

 

First offense – warning

Second Offense – fine (penalty)

Third offense – no participation in groups climbs
