A lot of us are utterly devastated by Sirius's death, and well may we be. Sirius - Sirius of the wide smile and the long dark hair, of the handsome arrogance and the ancient and most noble house of Black - is the favourite character of so many of us ... or was. And we all share in the misery produced by his untimely death.

However - we're fanfiction writers. It's not as if there's nothing we can do!

Sirius may be dead, but he would not have wanted us to grieve. In fact, I am quite sure he would have expected a loud, rowdy, drunken wake, complete with strippers, karaoke and balloons. Possibly balloons with obscene messages.

And so - Project Nova. Write, draw, design, create, in honour of our Star. Homages, tributes, gratituous squid smut - anything, just so long as it's for Sirius Black, and send it as an attachment to [email protected]. We will survive this disaster, and we will do it in true Padfoot style. And that means lots of booze.
