I remember one night when I was a child looking at a beautiful starry night away from city lights, one could see billions of stars. It was that night while looking with amazement towards the heavens that the question came in my mind: Where are we? Since that night almost two decades have past. For all this time a part of myself was constantly looking for answers. I was always careful to study and crosscheck every information, I wasn't interested in my truth, everyone has their own opinions, I wanted to know what actually happens. In fact many times I had to accept a truth other that what I would like it to be. There were many avenues, science, personal development, reports on the extraterrestrial, paranormal phenomena and religion. So I've worked and studied all these for almost two decades, what did I manage? Was my search successful? I can now confidently say I have. Surprisingly, there are many common denominators of agreement between all the areas I have mentioned above. So, here it is, the universe, and beware that there are things in the universe that can't be seen with a telescope. Here are my top 10 questions and answers about where we are and what is happening.
10. Are we alone in the universe?
No, there are plenty of other planets with life in the universe. From a physics perspective one soon recognizes that the universe is a life engine, working persistently to create life. From a mathematics perspective with the billions of galaxies, contain billions of stars it is not possible that we are the only planet with intelligent entities around. Additionally, reports on encounters with extraterrestrials come throughout our history, from the ancient times and descriptions of “god's coming to earth on fiery vehicles” to modern day flying saucer sightings.
9. Is there such a thing as matter?
No, matter is only a manifestation of energy, relativity proved this. People say that we are made out of matter living in a material world but matter is only a perception, an illusion that sometimes makes us forget our true spiritual nature. The core energy of every human being is called a soul by many religions. In physics, the universal law of conservation of energy is a proof that the soul is eternal. Many saints and holy men that left behind them prominent world religions verify this, for instance when noting that god created man in his own image, eternal and spiritual. A crude example is the energy creating a hologram as an oversimplified analogy. In another way to see it, some world religions claim that we are in essence living in god's dream. Some medical doctor's have given detailed accounts on patients that were clinically dead but where spiritually present and returned to confirm it by describing events occurring while they had passed. There are also some few acclaimed psychic mediums that can tune into soul energies and get messages from people that have passed away.
8. Is there such a thing as time and space?
Separately no, there is only spacetime, the fabric of the universe. For our perception of time the theory of relativity showed that the separation between past, present and future is only an illusion. These co-exist if you looked what happens while standing outside our universe but for us inside the universe the perception is one of time moving from past events to present and future.
7. So, why are we placed here?
Imagine you are god, you have ultimate knowledge and powers but you want to be creative with your time, be entertained and also possibly learn. When everything that exists is already known to you there is only one more way to add knowledge, make a life engine and see what arises with the life created.
6. What happens with the souls then?
All indications point to souls that reincarnate in human bodies in a constant cycle for improvement until they reach their final goal of finding god and fully reuniting with god. While the soul knows about all incarnations, every individual incarnation is unaware of the others. As an analogy consider the actor Bruce Willis and his film characters David Addison (in the 80's series Moonlighting) and John McClane (in the Die Hard films). David Addison doesn't know anything about John McClane and the other way around but Bruce Willis knows both characters. The master plan often brings the same souls together, though the connection that they have established in previous life times.
5. How can souls reach their goal?
You wear a human body, you grow up, you first need to discover yourself, then you have to be yourself because it is the soul, the voice of your heart inside you that ultimately knows why you are here in your present body and what you are meant to do. If you don't listen to your soul guiding you, you deviate from your purpose and at this, things one way or another become wrong because simply this is just not the path you are supposed to be walking. If you have managed to discover and be yourself then a persistent combination of meditation and prayer allows you to find god, realize your true spiritual self and enjoy being united with god. Most people don't manage to go further than a few steps forward towards this goal within a lifetime, so they re-incarnate repeatedly, in an effort to do better next time. God has brought us to being and loves us like a true father, he wants us to all do well. When we pray to him and ask something from him this should be as appropriate between a father and a child and not as between a beggar and a master.
4. What matters in life?
Happiness. Pleasures and dramas of life should both be taken lightly. It is best to see life like a movie, it's pleasures and dramas are all making it an interesting subject for god's pleasure. If you manage to reach god then you will be able to see this movie from his perspective, the universe is beautiful and wonderful and we are all eternal beings made in the image of god himself. Humans have to just play their role well in this movie of god.
3. I listen to myself but is it also right?
The soul knows the plan so it would never lead you where you shouldn't be. When you follow your soul's guidance you are happy and this is all that matters, after that the issue of right and wrong is a philosophical one for unwise people to loose precious time on. Many times people around you or circumstances don't let you be yourself without going against them. Most religions say, you are here with a duty, do your duty.
2. Suppose I could have a sit with a view of the material and spiritual planes, how would they look?
In the material plane the universe is vast but it is finite, which means that it has borders and finishes somewhere. Inside it there are billions of galaxies, groups of stars moving around each other. Each galaxy contains billions of stars, just born, young, maturing, old or dying. A typical star is our sun, giving light by burning hydrogen into helium. The universe gives birth to stars that give birth to planets that potentially give birth to beings like the humans. The universe is full of life. In the spiritual plane you would see trillions of souls entering and leaving bodies. Souls that are all made in the image of god, “little gods” themselves. Some are very near god, others have lost their way with the illusions of our material world and become distant from god, their energies can be seen further away.
1. What do I do today?
Be yourself, be happy, value the moment and meditate daily to improve in the path of goodness and love.
