Our Beautiful Dana

This is our beautiful 1996 Pacific Seacraft Dana 24 - Hull 217 - we've been blessed to own her for eight years. We lived aboard her 1-1/2 years - what an adventure! We hope someday the beautiful Sirena will take us to far away shores to meet the wonderful people and see the beautiful lands of our Lord!

We made our first offshore trip the summer of 2004 - 5 days from Biloxi to Galveston - God was so good!!!  We're ready to go again!

Sirena has a full cockpit enclosure and heating for winter months, air conditioning for the hot summer months, plus refrigeration and hot water!!  We enjoy her year round!

Sirena's new purple and green interior.  Sirena may be small, but we've tried to maximize her storage. We have enclosed all the shelving, added cabinets, and made pillows that zip open from the back to hold our bedding, clothes and supplies.  The settee cushions even have mesh pocket backs to hold long, folded charts.

Peace is seeing a sunrise or a sunset
 and knowing whom to thank.

From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets -
the name of the Lord is to be praised.  Ps. 113:3

"A boat is a creation, a bringing together of knowledge, skills, traditions, devotion, inspiration.  When all these things are joined, it takes on a spirit, a personality, a soul.  Those who follow the sea are aware of this truth."      Frank Mulville

Advantages of Small Boat Ownership

On a small boat, greed is impossible and simplicity enforced.

If you fall off, the low freeboard makes it easy to get back on.

You're never out of touch with the elements.

It's cheaper.

When it comes to grounding, you're never in over your head.

You can drop anchor almost anywhere.

Little adventures seem big.

A small boat owner is easier on the environment.

After a long journey on a small boat, you're almost always glad to get home.
