The Game Vampire Nights is by no means the best game the Playstation II has ever seen.  However it is good for wasting a few hours of your life.  The game starts out with you and your friend(You don't find out there names until you've beaten the game at which point it appears in the fact files).  For some unexplainable reason you're there to fight tje vampires and save the small viillage which they inhabit.  There are numberous threats as you go through the game.  Most of them you are led to by a useless little girl that for some reason finds it neccesary to follow you through the ENTIRE GAME!
.  The game progresses quickly and the story patches itself together within the first
couple of chapters.  The gameplay is a load of fun with a lot of options to keep it going.  Infact there are two modes of play that you can go through the game on.  Arcade which is the straight forward version of the game
and, the other mode is special which is aptly named.  Special mode has alot more to it then the arcade mode.  Including special items, quests, silver points, and much much more.
The game dosent offer alot of enemys and the ones it does offer are just basic point and there gone.  There are six bosses that very in difficulty.  The fighting style against
Above- The main character of the game.
Below- Some of the local Baddies.  Yeah...
each boss only differs slightly if at all.  The whole point is get them before they get you.
There are a lot of things that bugged me about this game.  For example the voice acting.  Every time a storyline scence came on I laughed until I cried.  The only person that possibly did even a decent job on there voice acting was the crazy proffesor/vampire.  Everyone else talked in a montone voice or in a annoying stupid fashion.
The graphics themselves were not horribly great.  Although as far as that went they werent that bad. Infact the game ran very smoothly and at time's even caught me off guard. There were alot of good things about this game .  Like the sound, Even though the music at times was inapropriate.  The Voice acting once again screwed with the sound as a whole.  I just can't get over one line "
She gave us the warmth, of a Hu - man."  The line itself was fine infact even appropriate.  However the way he said it reminded me of Ben Stein giving a love speech or Keanu Reeves acting.  It had absoloutly no feeling or anything in it.  Very funny.
This game probably would have been alot funner for me if I would have had a gun to use.  However even with just my controller in my hand this game ran like a pearl.  The only hard thing to get used to was pressing R2 constantly to keep the targetter moving at a high speed.  Otherwise I have absoloutley no complaint about the controls.
This game is definitly worth a pass over.  You might find when you start playing it that you just can't stop.  It's addicting just like crack.  Mostly this is because of all the special features and the training mode.  They just keep you going.  If you don't want to buy Vampire Nights at least give it the benefit of the doubt and rent it for a night.
This is the main guy.  Leader of all that is evil?  Or Dracula wanna be!?!?!
This little girl hounds you through out the entire game.  Killing her would have made the game far more worthwhile
The boss of chapter Three.  He attempts to kill you with laser blast from his monicle.
